Глава 14

1 Хирам, царь Тира, отправил к Давиду послов, а с ними — кедровые бревна, плотников и каменотесов для строительства дворца Давида.

2 И тогда Давид осознал, что ГОСПОДЬ прочно утвердил его царем над Израилем и возвысил его царство ради народа Своего, Израиля.

3 Взял Давид себе еще жен в Иерусалиме, и родились у него еще сыновья и дочери.

4 Вот имена детей, которые родились у него в Иерусалиме: Шаммуа, Шовав, Натан, Соломон,

5 Ивхар, Элишуа, Эльфалет,

6 Ногах, Непег, Яфиа,

7 Элишама, Беэльяда и Элифалет.

8 Когда филистимляне услышали, что Давид помазан в цари над всем Израилем, то все они отправились, чтобы взять его в плен. Давид, узнав об этом, решил сам выступить против них.

9 Филистимляне же, придя, вторглись в долину рефаимов.

10 А Давид вопросил Бога: «Идти ли мне на филистимлян, предашь ли Ты их в мои руки?» И ГОСПОДЬ ответил Давиду: «Иди, и Я предам их в твои руки».

11 Израильтяне отправились в Баал-Перацим, и там Давид нанес поражение филистимлянам и сказал: «Прорвал Бог ряды врагов моих моими руками, как вода прорывает запруду». Потому и называется это место Баал-Перацим.

12 Филистимляне побросали там изваяния своих богов, и Давид приказал их сжечь.

13 Но спустя время филистимляне снова пришли и вторглись в долину.

14 И Давид вновь вопросил Бога, и Бог ответил ему: «Не наступай на них прямо, но обойди их и напади с тыла, с той стороны, где тутовые деревья.

15 Когда услышишь, как будто кто-то ступает по верхушкам деревьев, действуй, потому что это Бог выступил перед тобой, чтобы разбить войско филистимлян».

16 И Давид поступил, как велел ему Бог, и уничтожил войска филистимлян от Гивона до Гезера.

17 По всем странам стало известно имя Давида, и ГОСПОДЬ поверг в ужас перед ним все народы.

Chapter 14

1 NOW Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build a house for him.

2 And David perceived that the LORD had chosen him to be king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted because of his people Israel.

3 And David took more wives in Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron, and there were born to him more sons and daughters.

4 Now these are the names of the children who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shocob, Nathan, and Solomon.

5 Ibhar, Elisha, Eliphalet.

6 Nogah, Nepheg, and Naphia,

7 And Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphalet.

8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

9 And the Philistines came and encamped in the valley of giants.

10 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the LORD said to him, Go up; for I will deliver them into your hands.

11 So they came up to the valley of Toretha, and David smote them there. Then David said. The LORD has broken in upon my enemies before me like the breaking forth of waters; therefore they called the name of that place the valley of Toretha.

12 And when they had left their idols there, David gave a commandment to his mighty men, saying. Burn them with fire and scatter their ashes to the wind.

13 And the Philistines came up again and encamped in the valley of giants.

14 Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said to him, You shall not go up after them; but turn away from them, and go attack them from the front.

15 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of howling in the top of the mountain, then you shall go out to battle; for the LORD has gone forth before you to smite the army of the Philistines.

16 And David therefore did as the LORD commanded him; and they smote the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gadar.

17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all the nations.

8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

9 And the Philistines came and encamped in the valley of giants.

10 А Давид вопросил Бога: «Идти ли мне на филистимлян, предашь ли Ты их в мои руки?» И ГОСПОДЬ ответил Давиду: «Иди, и Я предам их в твои руки».

10 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the LORD said to him, Go up; for I will deliver them into your hands.

11 Израильтяне отправились в Баал-Перацим, и там Давид нанес поражение филистимлянам и сказал: «Прорвал Бог ряды врагов моих моими руками, как вода прорывает запруду». Потому и называется это место Баал-Перацим.

11 So they came up to the valley of Toretha, and David smote them there. Then David said. The LORD has broken in upon my enemies before me like the breaking forth of waters; therefore they called the name of that place the valley of Toretha.

12 Филистимляне побросали там изваяния своих богов, и Давид приказал их сжечь.

12 And when they had left their idols there, David gave a commandment to his mighty men, saying. Burn them with fire and scatter their ashes to the wind.

13 Но спустя время филистимляне снова пришли и вторглись в долину.

13 And the Philistines came up again and encamped in the valley of giants.

14 И Давид вновь вопросил Бога, и Бог ответил ему: «Не наступай на них прямо, но обойди их и напади с тыла, с той стороны, где тутовые деревья.

14 Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said to him, You shall not go up after them; but turn away from them, and go attack them from the front.

15 Когда услышишь, как будто кто-то ступает по верхушкам деревьев, действуй, потому что это Бог выступил перед тобой, чтобы разбить войско филистимлян».

15 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of howling in the top of the mountain, then you shall go out to battle; for the LORD has gone forth before you to smite the army of the Philistines.

16 И Давид поступил, как велел ему Бог, и уничтожил войска филистимлян от Гивона до Гезера.

16 And David therefore did as the LORD commanded him; and they smote the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gadar.

17 По всем странам стало известно имя Давида, и ГОСПОДЬ поверг в ужас перед ним все народы.

17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all the nations.
